![]() The left-hand missile and the static probe of the right tail also came in contact with the runway slightly. When the nose of the aircraft rose, the tail inadvertently scraped the trail. ![]() Remember, this was the first plane to have a fixed lever, and there was no opportunity for Phil to notice the plane until the high-speed taxi test. Williams, structural engineer of flight tests at YF-16, recalls:ĭuring the first high-speed taxi test, a violent lateral oscillation was established as a direct result of pilot-driven oscillations (several maximum left / right commands) when the airplane reached spin speed (~ 120 kt). Its first flight was a short jump unintentional around the standard on Januat the hands of test driver Phil Oestricher. Ok well this is 13 so that’s it! time for a snooze. The prototype YF-16 (# 72-1567) was launched in Fort Worth on Decemand airborne by the C-5A to Edwards AFB on January 8, 1974. ![]() Whether it’s responding to comments, checking out pictures, or gong through my pictures on my hard drive, or photoshopping… like right now. I generally stay up 1-2 hours later than I’d like to every night because of flickr. In the summer I read a book a week on average. Or read a book, but I don’t read nearly as much as I’d like to, mostly because I don’t have time during school. Generally I’ll leave and listen to music or go on flickr or watch a movie. Anything else I will only watch because I’m in a room where it’s on. There are maybe 3 shows that I’ll actually want to watch. I just picked how I wanted to do each letter and then wrote “a quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” over and over until it stuck. Actually, in 9th grade I completely changed my handwriting. Everyone else in my family can draw amazingly well. If I pick up a pen or pencil my hand quivers. Also, I’ve been facebook married to the same person for over a year now. I’ve only ever had one girlfriend and we dated for a year and a half. I never thought it would happen, but after a year of no math classes, I actually missed it and so I am taking calculus right now. I am good at math and science, but swore a solemn oath while graduating high school that I’d never get a job in either. ![]() I’ve never moved, and have only been to less than 10 states and only one country. Right now I go to school 5 minutes from the house I grew up in. Then I’ll decide where I want to settle down. I want to travel to every country in the world. Actually, that was a lie, I don’t have one. 7 was my favorite number until I realized that it is the most cliche lucky number in existence. My backup plan is to open up a nice coffee shop somewhere on the shores of the Mediterranean and live a quiet happy life. My top four job aspirations are: to become a filmmaker and make a living doing it, to become a professional photographer, to be a musician, to be a writer. Or maybe I was adopted, except that everyone seems to think I look exactly like my brothers. Also, I’m a lefty, the only one in my family. I have horrible skin caused by a genetic disorder that has never happened in my family before. Well, I actually got kinda pudgy up until halfway through high school. My mom thought I was too skinny when I was in elementary school so she had the doctor put me on a milkshake diet… In other words, I had a milkshake with every meal to fatten me up. Macaroni and cheese is best complimented with blueberry coffee. Ever since I’ve moved into my apartment, I’ve had macaroni and cheese at least 2-3 times per week. I could live without a cell phone, or probably anything else. ![]() I could not live without my camera, laptop, and coffee. I debated whether or not to post this and whether it was risque or not, but then I realized that my pants and belts are so loose that anyone who sees me walking around campus or anywhere would see all this anyway. … and thirteen other things that you may or may not have known about me O 1. ![]()
